H&M Virtual Fitting Rooms

13th October 2021Alexander ToddUncategorisedNo Comments

In Germany, H&M has announced it is implementing virtual fitting rooms within a number of its Berlin and Hamburg stores this month, made possible by a partnership with Nexr Technologies SE and its Berlin-based innovation lab H&Mbeyond.

The service uses the Avatar Cloud Fashion app, which will be implemented into stores to create full-length body scanning mirrors, allowing customers to virtually try on clothes.

Using the specific dimensions provided by the scanner, customers will be given a free virtual avatar, that can then be used to try on 30 items from the new collection, allowing the customer to try on more clothes quicker, and also experiment with clothes that they wouldn’t have done in person.
