Media Planning & Sales
As a strategic partner with ASDA Media Partnerships, GIG is responsible for delivering ASDA’s annual media sales target, which includes delivering consistent YoY growth. Winning new business, and encouraging existing suppliers to increase their media investment relies on our ability to demonstrate that our media plans deliver on supplier objectives. We also need to develop and launch new media opportunities, continually optimise our media targeting, provide market leading insight and campaign analysis, while ensuring that every opportunity is clearly communicated to the supplier-base. In challenging conditions we have thrived and the partnership continues to deliver growth in an increasingly competitive market.


Insight, Measurement & Analytics
Measuring the performance of your campaign is vital to understanding what is driving your sales and where your marketing budget is working hardest.
Our team will work with you to understand your objectives, recommend the most salient metrics, advise how and where to reach your desired audience most efficiently, and for digital media, when and how to optimise your campaign for best results. Our market leading post campaign analysis enables you to attribute sales to every piece of media, helping you to understand exactly how your campaign performed at a granular level, and to inform future media buying decisions.
Campaign Management
Once a media campaign is booked our team of campaign managers take over to manage the relationship and deliverables between suppliers, designers, printers and implementation teams, to ensure that your campaign goes live as expected, and on time.

A great example [shown here] is the Coffee Hub we created for ASDA – The Daily Grind – designed to give online shoppers the barrista-style service they love from their local coffee shop. Product categories are clearly displayed on shelves, or shoppers can navigate directly to their favourite brand. Underpinned with flavour guidance, sustainability credentials and serving suggestions, coffee lovers can’t go wrong in this one-stop-coffee-shop.


Non Endemic & Agency Partnerships
Non-endemic advertising can broaden your client base, increase advertising revenue, and when done well, enhance the shopping experience for your customers. A recent example was when the Welsh government wanted to drive awareness of their free childcare vouchers to new parents. They ran a Leaderboard campaign within the baby department on ASDA.com, reaching a large and significant proportion of their target audience, with minimal wastage and at a significantly lower cost than if they’d used traditional broadcast channels.
